Medvedev reported this information, URA-Inform reports.

In particular, commenting on the statement of a representative of the US State Department that the Russian Federation would not get back Alaska, sold to the United States in the 19th century, he warned the American leadership that war could not be avoided because of this.

«According to a State Department spokesman, Russia will not get back Alaska, which was sold to the United States in the 19th century. Well, that's all, then. But we were expecting her to return any day now. Now war is inevitable,” Medvedev wrote on the social network X.

At the same time, the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council added a smiley face to his message, perhaps hinting at sarcasm. Medvedev's statement caused mixed reactions in Russia. Some analysts suggest that he may be trying to provoke the United States and aggravate tensions between the two countries.

In the comments to the post, users make ironic remarks, arguing that Moscow has no chance in a confrontation with the world's powerful army.

Recall that it was previously reported that the Russian Federation has set its sights on capturing several more cities in Ukraine: the West has figured out what they want to do.
