Norwegian scientists in the course of a study, found that writing by hand more actively engages various brain structures, leads to greater brain connectivity and better learning, compared to typing on a keyboard.

The study included 36 university students whose brain activity was recorded using high-frequency electroencephalography and 256 sensors on the head.

Participants were repeatedly asked to write or type a word that appeared on a screen. When writing, they used a digital pen, and when typing, they pressed keys on a keyboard with one finger.

The analysis showed that brain connectivity patterns when writing by hand were more complex and branched compared to typing on a keyboard. This is useful when studying to remember information.

Remember, we previously reported how to lower blood pressure without medications: the doctor said which product would help this problem.
