Participants in the experiment with low levels of vitamin C consumed either a vitamin C supplement, a placebo, or two kiwis. They then completed regular surveys on their smartphones, reflecting their experiences regarding mood, vitality, overall health and other factors.
The study results showed that those participants who consumed kiwi experienced a noticeable improvement in mood and vitality after just four days. This positive effect persisted over the next few weeks, reaching a peak after approximately 14-16 days.
