This information was reported by an official source of the North Atlantic Alliance, reports URA-Inform.
It is noted that we are talking about a million unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This statement was made during a briefing held on Thursday, February 15.
Stoltenberg noted that the decision to transfer the specified number of UAVs was made during bilateral negotiations in the «Ramstein» and the Council of Ukraine — NATO.
According to the NATO Secretary General, during these negotiations, the head of the Ukrainian defense department Rustem Umerov voiced the current situation on the front line, and NATO members confirmed the importance of continuing support for Ukraine.
Stoltenberg also emphasized that several countries have announced new military aid packages for Ukraine, including air defense systems, equipment and spare parts for F-16 fighter jets. In addition, members of the alliance agreed to create a demining coalition, which will help protect the lives of Ukrainian citizens.
Recall that the Speaker of the House of Representatives made a strong statement about assistance to Ukraine.
