Ukraine is preparing for radical changes in its approach to mobilization, and soon military unit commanders will be able to recruit volunteers directly, bypassing traditional territorial recruitment centers.

According to serviceman and political scientist Kirill Sazonov, the Ukrainian military has long fought to implement this system. They have repeatedly encountered obstacles in the past, including stiff resistance from former commander-in-chief Valeriy Zaluzhny, who considered the scheme corrupt.
Zaluzhny argued that it was wrong for people to choose where exactly they want to serve. However, under the command of General Alexander Syrsky, the practice was partially revived, and now, as it turns out, is ready to work in full.
Sazonov noted that in the current system no one immediately goes to serve in the brigade. This is due to the order, supported by the President and Commander-in-Chief, that all recruits must undergo basic military training at training centers.
This step was taken to prevent situations where untrained soldiers find themselves on the front lines without the necessary skills and knowledge.< /p>
Many contract volunteers want to serve in certain brigades, and the new system will allow them to do this. Sazonov emphasized that not all volunteers want to stay in the rear. He called on Ukrainians to join the 41st Combat Brigade, which he often writes about in his Telegram channel.
«We really need UAV pilots, people in the machine gun platoon, anti-tank crews. We need different guys. Come to us!» – calls Sazonov.
He explained that those who want to fight will come to a specific brigade, undergo training as representatives of this brigade and return there after training.
