The head of the meteorological forecast department of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center Natalya Golenya said that, as in previous years, the coming autumn will most likely be warmer than they are used to in Ukraine.
This information was reported by Obozrevatel, reports URA-Inform.
According to her, it is still too early to make precise forecasts about what the weather will be like in the fall of 2024, but the trends of recent years allow us to determine what to expect with a high degree of probability. According to Natalia's forecast, the weather this fall will most likely be warmer than we are used to.
As is known, the average daily air temperature in Ukraine in September usually fluctuates between +13…17 °C, and in the southern regions up to +20 °C. However, the expert noted, recently there has been a clear trend of increasing air temperature by about 1-2 °C. With a high degree of probability, next fall will not be an exception and will be quite warm.
«There is a tendency that in the last 20 years September is more often warm, summer still lasts,— Golenya said.
With such a development of events, even abnormal temperatures of up to +38 °C during the day in the south of Ukraine and up to +35 °C in other regions are possible. There have already been precedents.
At the same time, she did not rule out anomalies this fall:
«There are examples of rainy and cool autumn coming to Ukraine literally from the first days of September. Such a development of events is also possible, but with a lower degree of probability».
«In October, as usual, Ukraine will enjoy the last warm days of Indian summer in 2024. Usually, such a period lasts from 3 to 10 days. But in November it will become noticeably colder. Usually in Ukraine this month is characterized by heavy rains and high cloud cover. The first serious frosts are possible, the specialist summed up.
Recall that earlier it was reported why Ukraine stopped turning off the lights: experts said how long this will last.
