On August 23rd in Kyiv there was a major traffic accident in which six cars collided. The preliminary culprit of the accident was a driver in a state of alcohol intoxication.

The incident occurred at about 11:00 on Lesya Kurbasa Street, where a Toyota Camry, a ZAZ 1102, a Ford Focus, a Renault, a BMW and a Skoda collided. According to eyewitnesses, the Toyota driver lost control, causing his car to crash into other vehicles . According to preliminary information, the driver was in a state of severe alcohol intoxication.
According to local sources, the level of alcohol in the Toyota driver's blood during a breathalyzer test exceeded the permissible limits. As a result of the accident, the ZAZ driver received serious injuries, including suspected for closed craniocerebral trauma and multiple lacerations. He was urgently hospitalized.
Law enforcement officers confirmed the accident, but have not yet disclosed details of the incident. Due to the accident, traffic in the direction of Gnata Yury Street is difficult, which drivers are warned about.
