President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky During a press conference in Kyiv, he criticized Russian leader Vladimir Putin, stressing that he attacks his own villages without caring about his citizens, and still clings to the occupied territories of Ukraine.

Zelensky noted that Putin's actions aimed at maintaining control over the captured Ukrainian lands testify to his priorities. According to the Ukrainian leader, even though Putin is moving his troops to the Kursk region, he does not think about the fate of his fellow citizens, putting the occupation of Ukrainian territories above all else.
“This is an important conclusion that I discussed with my colleagues. One of the goals of the operation is to demonstrate to the world who Putin is. We have shown this in practice to those states that have not yet understood why he invaded our territory. For him, seizing Ukrainian lands is more important than protecting his own population. Simply bravo,” Zelensky said.
The Ukrainian president emphasized that Putin's actions are shocking even among his supporters in Russia, who now realize how much Putin disregards their safety. Zelensky expressed satisfaction that Ukraine's position on this issue is becoming clear to international partners and the world community.
