Ministry of Defense of Ukraine continues to actively implement digital solutions in the defense sector.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to the official website of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
As part of the next update of the Army+ mobile application, users will receive new tools for training, and in the near future it is planned to add an electronic military ID and a system of social bonuses and discounts.
Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitalization Ekaterina Chernogorenko reported on the innovations.
“In civilian life, we are accustomed to convenient digital services. Our goal is to make military service as comfortable and modern as possible, taking into account the specifics of the army,” Chernogorenko noted.
Key improvements to Army+ include:
- training module – interactive materials with basic information on military affairs for independent study;
- digital military ID – an electronic document with legal force equivalent to its paper counterpart;
- bonuses and benefits – a special system of discounts and social services from partner companies for military personnel.
- electronic ticket, according to Chernogorenko, will eliminate paper media and minimize bureaucratic difficulties. In turn, social bonuses and loyalty programs will encourage businesses to support the defenders of Ukraine.
“Army+”: a digital ecosystem for the military
The “Army+” application is positioned as a tool for simplifying the interaction of military personnel with military structures. Access to it is provided exclusively to active military personnel. At the first stage, the audience of the application will be limited to the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine (SSCIPP).
The plans of the Ministry of Defense include scaling the application to all units of the Defense Forces. This will create a single digital ecosystem that will allow for better coordination of work, increase the convenience of interaction and simplify access to the necessary services.
Against this background, Portnikov has already spoken out about the mobilization of women and lowering the draft age.
