The Ukrainian Navy reported that as of Friday morning, October 18, the Russian army had deployed a cruise missile carrier into the Black Sea, but it was not carrying Kalibr missiles.
URA-Inform reported this with reference to the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Navy.
According to the military, there is one enemy ship in the Black Sea that is a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles, but it is not carrying missiles. They also added that there are no enemy ships in the Sea of Azov.
There are four enemy ships in the Mediterranean Sea, three of which are carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo of up to 16 missiles.
Over the past 24 hours, the following ships have passed through the Kerch Strait in the interests of the Russian Federation: to the Black Sea – four of which continued moving in the direction of the Bosphorus Strait. Nine vessels are heading to the Sea of Azov, two of which were moving from the Bosphorus Strait, the Navy said in a statement.
It is worth noting that earlier, the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, Dmitry Pletenchuk, said that the Russian occupiers were moving their missile carriers into the Black Sea to distract the Ukrainian air defense system during massive shelling.
It also became known why the US does not want to shoot down Russian missiles in the Ukrainian sky: the Pentagon's explanation.
