In Vinnitsa and In the Dnipropetrovsk region, internally displaced persons who do not have enough money to rent individual housing on their own will receive financial assistance for renting housing.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to the press service of the Ministry for Reintegration temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
The aim of this project is to support IDP families in host communities for six months. Assistance will be available to displaced persons who were forced to move after February 24, 2022 and who have not yet received targeted cash assistance for rent from international organizations.
To receive financial assistance, you must also belong to one of the following categories of the population:
— IDPs living in temporary accommodation places (TAPs) who are able to pay private rent for housing after the expiration of the program;
— IDPs living in MTPs under threat of eviction (especially in schools and kindergartens);
— IDPs living in rented accommodation under threat of eviction and have no alternative but to move to MTPs;
— newly arrived IDPs (up to one year old) who do not wish to live in MTPs.
«All target groups must be able to afford private rent at the end of the support period. The household must also be able to find housing for rent and pay for the first two months of it, the department explained.
It is noted that in the event of a positive decision, after filling out the questionnaire, the person will be invited to an interview, during which it will be necessary to confirm the answers provided and demonstrate the relevant documents.
