At the same time, the Ukrainian army is carrying out counterattacks along a broad front in Kursk region. As analysts note, geolocation footage published on October 29 indicates that Russian troops have recently advanced in the central part of Novoivanovka (southeast of Korenevo).
Russian sources, including the Russian Defense Ministry, said Ukrainian troops counterattacked southeast of Korenevo in the area of Darino, Nizhny Klin, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Novoivanovka and Tolstoy Lug and southeast of Sudzha in area of Plekhovo.
Russian mibloggers claimed that most of Novoivanovka is a disputed “gray zone” and that Russian troops have driven the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of Martynovka (northeast of Sudzha).
However, ISW found no confirmation of this claimed Russian advance. A Russian source said Russian troops had entered Plekhovo, but later reported that Russian military sources in the area noted that Russian troops had failed to gain a foothold in the area.
Earlier there was information that some of the DPRK troops were in the Kursk region: the GUR explained what was happening.
