According to sources, Ukrainian forces may have used a rare type of guided munition, the M712 Copperhead, produced in the United States in the 1970s.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to Defense Express.
The above-mentioned projectile , which is a first-generation guided artillery munition, has become a surprise on the modern battlefield. The M712 Copperhead was reportedly used to target infrastructure in the Suji area, using laser guidance with a range of up to 16 km and a weight of about 62 kg. p>
It is worth noting that the production of such shells ended back in 1978, and as of 1995, the United States had only limited reserves, about 20 thousand units. This case confirms the importance of precision guidance technologies and their impact on modern combat operations.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces themselves, in turn, have not yet spoken about how such shells help them in combat.
< p>However, against this background, Poland has made a new accusation against Ukraine.
