Refugees from the village of Olgovka in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation recorded a video message to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
This was reported by “URA-Inform” with reference to the TV channel “Politics of the Country”.
In it, they called on the Russian dictator to end the war. More than 40 people took part in the video message. They said that they had lost everything and were now forced to rebuild their homes. The payments that they had received from the authorities had already ended for many.
According to residents of Olgovka, some of their fellow villagers who did not evacuate died or went missing. Olgovka itself, as the authors of the appeal say, has begun to resemble a horror film and people are still afraid to return there, and the restoration of the village, according to officials, will take at least five years, the authors of the appeal said.
«We've been in hell for three months, where can we turn, where can we find salvation? We ask you to end this damned war , which took many innocent lives. We want our children to see a peaceful sky, not to listen to the signal “Missile danger”. Sort out this situation and listen to the border residents. After all, we are not enduring all this of our own free will,” the refugees said.
At the same time, some Ukrainians are returning to Russian occupation voluntarily: the authorities explained why this is so.
