NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte noted that the North Atlantic Alliance helped Ukraine survive the full-scale war against Russia.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to The Guardian.
However, now, according to him, NATO's goal is to change the “trajectory of war.”
“Our support for Ukraine has helped it to survive the fight, but we need to go further to change the trajectory of the conflict,” — Rutte emphasized.
He emphasized that the member countries of the North Atlantic Alliance need to provide Ukraine with critical air defense and fulfill all the commitments made at the NATO summit in Washington.
“The new command, NATO Security Assistance and Training Unit (NSATU), has a financial commitment of 40 billion euros by 2024 and further measures to bring Ukraine closer to NATO,” the Secretary General of the North Atlantic bloc clarified his opinion.
Rutte also noted that it is very important for NATO countries to increase investment and production in the arms industry.
At the same time, it became known that Ukraine will be seated at the negotiating table: sources in the US said when this will happen.
