People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak stated that all banks participating in the social support program “Winter eSupport” are required to disclose the banking secrets of their clients.
This was reported by “URA-Inform” with reference to Zheleznyak's Telegram channel.
It is noted that the above applies not only to the state-owned PrivatBank, but also to other commercial banks, including Monobank. In the summer, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution according to which citizens must open a special National Cashback card to receive social benefits.
One of the conditions is the renunciation of banking secrecy. This measure is aimed at increasing the transparency of the use of public funds and preventing financial fraud.
The co-founder of Monobank previously claimed that only PrivatBank discloses banking secrecy. However, the Monobank application also provides customers with the opportunity to receive a cashback payment on a card, which automatically implies that this condition is met.
It was also previously mentioned that the General Staff has a special agreement with the TCC.
