Early recognition of diabetes plays a key role in preventing complications and progression of the disease.

Experts from the Global Diabetes Society (Diabetes.co.uk) say that one of the early symptoms of diabetes can be unexplained dizziness.
According to scientists, such episodes may indicate a blood sugar disorder: either critically high or too low. In both cases, the brain experiences an energy deficit, which leads to the development of the corresponding condition.
“High blood sugar (hyperglycemia) causes polyuria, which in turn leads to dehydration of the body, as it tries to remove excess glucose. However, due to low fluid levels in the body, the brain is forced to desperately fight to function correctly, which causes dizziness,” — experts explained.
If dizziness becomes frequent and occurs suddenly, experts strongly recommend seeking medical help.
In addition, other characteristic signs of diabetes include constant thirst, chronic fatigue, slow healing of wounds and cuts, and deteriorating vision.
It is important not to ignore these symptoms and promptly consult a doctor for diagnosis and treatment.
