Research shows that conventional antibiotics are ineffective against such organisms, making them a potential threat to global health.
Among the experts supporting this call are Nobel laureates, including Professor Greg Winter of the University of Cambridge.
They stress that the creation of mirror life should be strictly prohibited until all possible risks are fully understood.
