Former President USA Donald Trump announced at the Am Fest forum his intention to meet with Vladimir Putin to resolve the war in Ukraine, and this statement caused a strong reaction both inside and outside the country.

Trump emphasized that one of his first tasks if he returns to power will be to end the war in Ukraine. According to him, Putin expressed readiness for a personal meeting , and Trump himself is also interested in its implementation.

At the same time, he added that Putin I am personally really looking forward to this meeting. Moreover, some saw Trump's statements as a “signal” that he, in turn, is also waiting for a meeting with the Russian leader.
