In recent days, cybercriminals have stepped up sending fake messages to Ukrainians about alleged debts to Nova Poshta.
URA-Inform reports this with reference to the press service of Nova Poshta.
< p>The press service of Nova Poshta stated that these letters have nothing to do with the company, they are a phishing mailing. They noted that after analyzing the activity with the phishing mailing, Nova Poshta cybersecurity strongly recommends that all users who tried to open the attachments in these letters, the following steps:
— install an antivirus program (with an up-to-date database) and perform a full scan of your device for malware;
—completely reinstall the operating system to eliminate potentially hidden threats if malware is detected during the scan or there is a suspicion of a system compromise.
They added that attackers exploit trust in well-known brands and manipulate sensitive information — in this case, they declare a debt. The company's cybersecurity division is already working to block the network of servers from which the mailings originate.
