Cases are recorded in Poland mailings of fake summonses to Ukrainian citizens.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to the Polish Office for Foreigners.
The Office for Foreigners reports that the fake letters are being distributed allegedly on behalf of Warsaw Office.
These letters are said to contain demands to perform military service with threats of legal liability for refusal. The recipients are also advised to seek advice from Ukrainian consular or legal services in Poland.
«In accordance with current legislation, in particular the law on military service and in connection with mobilization, which is ongoing, we inform you that from December 17 to 31, 2024, we are planning a visit to your place of residence, which is located at the address: Purpose of the visit: “deliver you to a mobilization point,” one of these messages says.
However, the Polish Office for Foreigners has officially stated that it is not the author of such notifications. The agency calls on Ukrainians to be careful and check the authenticity of the documents they receive.
