President of the United States America's Joe Biden has scheduled two major speeches before his term ends on January 20, 2025.
This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to NBC News.
NBC News television workers, who cited two well-informed sources, reported that in them he will sum up more than 50 years of his career in public service. The media workers' interlocutors clarified that Biden will devote his first speech to foreign policy and is expected to deliver it after returning from a visit to Italy on January 12.
In it, Biden may focus on the need for the United States to maintain global alliances, mentioning NATO expansion, developing relations in the Indo-Pacific region, and military and financial support for Ukraine after a full-scale Russian invasion in 2022.
Journalists added that the second speech by the still-incumbent US president will be a farewell address to the Americans, where he will sum up his years in the White House and in government service.
According to media sources, this will be a traditional address in the spirit of farewell speeches by some of Biden's predecessors, in particular, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.
At the same time, NBC News interlocutors assured that none of Biden's speeches are yet fully prepared, but his team has already drawn up their plan and topics.
Also, the US presidential administration in the last days of its work may take additional steps to counter domestic terrorism after recent events, and Biden may announce additional pardoning people.
Recall that earlier it was reported that the Bundestag announced important negotiations on the war in Ukraine: the date was named.
