“This is what happened during the Biden term, and I am grateful for it,” the president said.
At the same time, he noted that in some matters Kyiv asked to act differently and “not to be so slow.”
“This is about preventive sanctions before the invasion. We asked for both weapons and sanctions, but America said that “if something happens, then we will do it.” It seems to me that this is still a weak position,” Zelensky said.
At the same time, he added that it was still a lot of help, and Ukraine is grateful to the United States of America for it.
“I did not fully understand and will never understand when people are dying here, and we have as many air defense systems as we have. And why couldn't they reinforce us with Patriot systems – most of them are in the US – it's hard for me to understand. Maybe I don't know something. But I know one thing – unfortunately, people died,” the Ukrainian president stated.
