France and the UK have initiated a “coalition of the willing” to provide security guarantees to Ukraine. It includes 37 countries, including Japan, Australia and New Zealand. The goal is financial and military assistance to Ukraine, including troops, aircraft and ships.

French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu said that “the real security guarantees will be the assistance we can provide to the Ukrainian army.” About 15 countries have expressed their readiness to provide specific guarantees.
Various forms of support are being considered: the introduction of peacekeeping forces, the deployment of troops in neighboring countries, the dispatch of demining specialists, the transfer of military equipment and intelligence data.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron are negotiating a coalition and plan to present details to US President Donald Trump.
Forming a coalition is an important step to protect Ukraine and strengthen European security.
