Ukraine to ban fishing on April 1: what threatens violators

From April 1, a ban on spawning fish catches in reservoirs will be in effect in Ukraine.

This was reported by URA-Inform with reference to the order of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

According to the order of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine “On approval of the rules of amateur fishing”, in Ukraine the main restrictions on fishing are introduced twice a year, namely from April 1 to May 30 there is a ban on fishing in rivers and tributaries.

In addition, from April 1 to June 19 – on reservoirs, lakes and bays. Fines for fishermen who, despite all the restrictions and warnings, still decide to fish, are quite large.

For example:

– for catching one perch – 3,162 hryvnia;

-for bream – 1,649 hryvnia;

– for pike perch – 3,587 hryvnia;

– for som – 5,117 hryvnia.

At the same time, there are additional restrictions. For example, from February 15 to March 31, fishermen are not allowed to catch pike, otherwise they face a fine of 3,468 hryvnia. Also, until June 30, it is better not to catch crayfish in Ukraine, because you will have to pay 3,332 hryvnia for one caught crayfish. When the ban expires, then you can catch no more than 30 crayfish per day per person.

At the same time, some types of fish can be caught without restrictions, namely:

-sunfish;

– rotan;

– sprat;

-blue.
