Netflix's Adolescence has been a sensation, winning acclaim from critics and viewers alike. The four-part British thriller is powerful in its storytelling and execution, while raising awareness of important social issues.

This was reported by URA-Inform, citing Netflix .

The series centers on the tragic story of 13-year-old Jamie Miller, who is accused of murdering a classmate. Evidence, including CCTV footage, shows him stabbing his classmate. During an interrogation, attended by his father and a psychologist, Jamie denies everything, while his father, Eddie, is horrified by what is happening. This element of deep emotional drama makes the series especially tense and touching.

The series stars young Owen Cooper and seasoned Stephen Graham, familiar to viewers from Snatch and Gangs of New York. Their duet was highly praised by critics, and their relationship, which became the basis of the entire drama of the series, attracted special attention. The suspense that arises between them keeps viewers in suspense.

In addition, the series has a unique technical feature – it is filmed as if in one frame, which enhances the atmosphere of reality of what is happening. The camera continuously follows the characters, creating the effect of presence and increasing tension. This approach requires from the actors not only skill, but also full involvement in what is happening.

The series also touches on the important topic of incels — men who feel incapable of finding romantic relationships and who hate women. The series explores the causes of gender-based violence and its devastating consequences.

The series “Youth” is available on Netflix since March 13, all four episodes with Ukrainian dubbing.

Let us recall that the series “Daredevil: Born Again” was released: how critics and viewers assessed the long-awaited sequel.
