In Poland, new draft standards in the event of mobilization and war, set out in the order of the Minister of National Defense of December 7, 2023, came into force on January 13, 2024.
According to the new law a conscript may receive a summons marked «on the second day of mobilization» or «immediately». The term “immediately” means that the man must appear at the place of appearance specified in the summons no later than 6 hours from the receipt of a message about the announcement of general mobilization or the outbreak of war.
Those men who, during mobilization or war fail to report for this service on the specified day and place, they will be punished by imprisonment for a term of at least 3 years.
In addition, a person who, during mobilization or war, constantly evades military service, is punished imprisonment for a term of at least 5 years.
