The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Rome.

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said this happened after Moscow transferred a subsidiary of the Italian group Ariston Thermo Group to state energy giant Gazprom.
It is noted that the Russian government has decided to proceed with the temporary transfer of the Russian subsidiary of the Italian company Ariston Thermo Group to the Russian LLC «Gazprom controlled by “Gazprom household systems», a manufacturer of household appliances.
“The government demands clarification regarding the nationalization of Ariston Thermo Group. We are also working with Brussels together with Germany,” Tajani emphasized.
At the same time, he added that he asked a high-ranking official of the Italian Foreign Ministry to call the Russian Ambassador. Before this, Antonio Tajani said that he had spoken with top managers of Ariston, and Rome was “ready to protect business in all international markets.”
