This information was reported by Glavcom, reports URA-Inform .

According to him, the Russians promised to capture wounded Ukrainian soldiers, provide assistance to them, and then return them as part of a prisoner exchange. However, the Russians cynically violated these agreements.

«We had the opportunity to communicate with the Russian side. It was previously agreed that the wounded Ukrainian military would be officially captured, given assistance, and then returned through an exchange procedure. Unfortunately, the Russian side has once again shown that any agreements may not be fulfilled», — he explained.

The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights emphasized that Ukraine is constantly faced with the fact that the Russian Federation violates agreements and norms of humanitarian law.

«We don’t know what to do with this», — the Ukrainian ombudsman frankly stated.
