This information was reported by Apnews, URA-Inform reports.

The meeting will be virtual because Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin is still recovering at home from complications from treatment for prostate cancer. Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh said that it will discuss the long-term needs of Ukraine.

«Despite the fact that we cannot provide our security assistance right now, our partners continue to do so», — she noted.

As is known, the United States has provided Ukraine with more than $44.2 billion in security assistance since Russia's invasion in February 2022. About $23.6 billion of that total came from current military stockpiles, and nearly $19 billion came from long-term military contracts for goods that would take months to complete.

So even though funds have been exhausted , some of the previously purchased weapons will continue to arrive. Also, an additional $1.7 billion was provided by the US State Department in the form of foreign military funding.

Recall that it was previously reported why Zelensky’s assistance for Avdiivka is being slowed down: an OP insider revealed what the idea is.
