This information was reported by the publication Bild, citing a statement by the German Minister of Labor, Hubertus Heil, reports “URA- Inform.”

Heil expressed this initiative shortly before the upcoming increase in benefits from January 1 by 12%, reaching 563 euros. His ministry is currently actively drafting legislation to temporarily cancel this benefit for two months for those who decline a job offer that matches their qualifications.

It is important to note that the government will continue to cover living expenses and utilities during this period. After the specified period, employment centers are obliged to offer benefit recipients new employment options, and in case of refusal, sanctions will be applied.

«It is unacceptable that a small minority undermined the entire system», — Heil emphasized in the middle of the interview.

According to him, currently employment centers have the right to reduce benefits by 30% for those who refuse the offered work.

Discussion This initiative is causing controversy in Germany. The opposition believes that the system does not stimulate active search for work, and critics highlight the lack of a mechanism that would guarantee higher earnings for those who work full-time compared to welfare recipients.

Recall that Zaluzhny presented to Zelensky action plan for 2024: the president said what it will be.
