Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal addressed the Ukrainians with an important request.

This information was reported by the Government Portal, URA-Inform reports.

During the government meeting, Shmygal said that power engineers are doing everything possible to control the situation and quickly carry out repairs. He noted that everyone together must help our energy sector survive.

«We have suffered heavy losses in generation, and now, as temperatures drop, this is affecting the power grid. For several days now we have been recording a power shortage, which we are covering with the help of our European partners. As at the beginning of a full-scale war, we must unite to be resilient,” the Prime Minister emphasized.

He called on all Ukrainians to be thrifty, especially during morning and evening peak hours. And industry should maximize the import of electricity and use alternative power sources.

At the same time, Shmygal noted that Ukraine is also actively supported by foreign partners on this issue. In particular, the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine, together with announced contributions, has collected about 410 million euros from 13 partner countries.

«For these funds we buy generators, transformers, spare parts, and carry out intensive repairs», — noted the head of the Government.

In addition, the UK announced the allocation of more than $180 million to strengthen the Ukrainian energy sector. Lithuania transfers equipment from its thermal power plants, nuclear power plants and its warehouses. Germany is sending 400 generators.

The Prime Minister added that Ukraine will deploy a network of mini-CHPs quickly and intensively, so that there is a safety margin at the start of the new heating season.

We recall that it was previously reported that Zelensky gave a special instruction to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Moscow Region: it became known what must be done before May 9.
