Military reports indicate an invasion of Russian infantry groups in Volchansk, Kharkov region. The militants are seeking to strengthen their positions in the north of the city, continuing the confrontation with the Ukrainian military.

Speaker of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Dmitry Lazutkin made a statement :
“At the moment, the enemy is trying to capture the northern part of Volchansk using small infantry groups. Our task is to strike at the enemy, preventing him from strengthening and strengthening,” — emphasized Lazutkin.
He also noted that the Ukrainian military successfully uses UAVs and artillery against the invaders, especially when they move their troops on equipment.
“Our reserves have been deployed to the site. A number of highly effective military units are now in place and successfully controlling the situation. Despite this, individual infantry groups still managed to penetrate the city,” — added Lazutkin.
The speaker also noted that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky reported to the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky about the current situation.
“Our military activities continue. Despite some stabilization, heavy fighting continues. The enemy is trying to break our ranks and stretch the front. Our task — destroy the occupier, and we are successfully moving in this direction. The enemy is suffering significant losses both on the approaches to Volchansk and in the city itself,” — emphasized Lazutkin.
