People are kept in dungeons for several months.
More than 10 residents of Energodar occupied by the Russian army are in Russian custody. the head of Energodar, Dmitry Orlov, told Radio Liberty.
“The absolute majority of them have been in prison for several months. Some were transported to Melitopol, some to Mariupol, some even further there, already in the Russian Federation. Our residents are accused of some these are terrorist actions,” he said.
Orlov noted that these are ordinary people, employees of the public sector or the energy industry. According to him, the occupiers mock, torture and thus force people to support the pro-Russian position.
“People are categorically against this position. And that is why such terrible things happen. psychological pressure. Unfortunately, many of those who already came out of these dungeons, are in the city without documents. They cannot even leave the territory of the settlement, because the occupiers are checking them,” Orlov added.
He also noted that filtration points continue to operate under the occupation , where people can be held under the pretext of checks for from a day to 10 days.
- In November last year, Orlov reported that because of shy Russians, more than 1.5 thousand people passed through the temporarily occupied Energodar. According to him, there are two dungeons that city residents know about. This is the premises of the former headquarters of the SBU and the National Police. The occupiers allow friends and relatives to come to these dungeons and bring in medicine.
