“Last year, Ukrainians issued about 205 thousand foreign passports in Poland,” Ministry of Internal Affairs

<p>Poland has the largest number of foreign units of the State Enterprise “Document”. Last year in Warsaw, Wroclaw, Gdansk and Krakow, Ukrainians issued almost 80 thousand ID cards and about 205 thousand foreign passports. </p>
<p>Such data was announced at an online meeting of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klimenko and the head of the Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs, Marcin Kerwiński. </p>
<p>The ministers also discussed the situation on the Polish-Ukrainian border. </p>
<p>“Security and tranquility on the common border are under special attention. He emphasized our openness to dialogue to resolve any problematic situations, including at checkpoints,” Klimenko noted. </p>
<p>He added that Poland has also already donated almost 300 units of fire and rescue equipment.</p>
<p>“I thank Mr. Kerwiński and the Government of Poland. Your support is important for Ukraine,” noted the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs. </p>

<li>It recently became known that the Polish government plans to extend the period of legal stay of Ukrainian refugees in the country until June 30 of this year. the law will be reviewed and amended. </li>
<li>The temporary protection mechanism, launched by an executive decision of the EU Council in March 2022, initially for one year, was extended for another year – until March 4, 2025.</li>
<li >The Polish government will appoint a commissioner for the reconstruction of Ukraine. As Tusk noted, the government will appoint Pavel Koval. “We want to be very actively involved not only in helping Ukraine in the war with Russia, but also in reconstruction,” Tusk noted.</li>
