<p>This is reported by Gvara Media with reference to the commentary of the head of the Investigation Department of the National Police of the Kharkiv region, Sergei Bolvinov.</p>
<p>“Since the oil depot was attacked and a fuel leak occurred, a large area was contaminated. According to preliminary data, more than 10 thousand square meters of territory were contaminated due to fuel leakage. This includes both diesel and gasoline. According to available information, more than 3,800 tons of fuel were stored at this oil depot,” Bolvinov said.</p>

<p>He added that oil products also ended up in the Nemyshlya River.</p>
<p>Bolvinov noted that the police contacted the State Environmental Inspectorate in the Kharkov region, which took soil and water samples from the pollution sites. </p>
<p>The National Police is now considering opening criminal proceedings under Article 441 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (ecocide).</p>
