<p>Russian shelling on March 22 was aimed at two parts of the Ukrainian energy system, as a result of which it suffered heavy losses.</p>
<p>The general director of the YASNO company, Sergei Kovalenko, spoke about this on the telethon.</p>
<p>“They hit two parts of the power system. The first is the generating part and the second is the distribution part. If we start with the generating capacities, we hit several types of generating capacities. A large number of thermal power plants were hit by missiles and drones… The second part – the enemy hit a lot of so-called network nodes of NEC Ukrenergo: transformers and so on,” said Kovalenko.</p>
<p>According to him, the DTEK Group, for example, has lost 50% of its generating capacity.</p>
<p>Currently time continues to count the damage caused.</p>
<p>“How much time and money is needed for restoration – we will find out in a few more days. I can say for sure that this process will not take a day, not a week or a month,” Kovalenko noted. .</p>
