<p>Informing about the situation along the border in Chernihiv and Sumy regions, he noted that there is still a high level of shelling from the Russian Federation.</p>
<p>“Chernihiv and Sumy regions are subject to daily shelling, as is Kharkiv region. Most of the shelling, if we compare Chernihiv and Sumy regions, occurs in Sumy region. Here the enemy uses artillery, aviation, and attack drones to strike at Ukrainian territory. Most of them are aimed at populated areas, which is why I can say that Russia continues to confirm its status as a terrorist country, because it is targeting civilians,” the speaker noted.</p>
<p>He also noted that the enemy is not yet deploying additional forces near the border with Sumy Oblast.</p>
<p>“We are not currently recording any actions that Russia could take to deploy or expand the zone of active combat operations in the direction of Sumy Oblast,” Demchenko said.</p>
