French Caesar self-propelled guns in service with the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The Belgian Ministry of Defense will hand over to the government the documentation on the purchase and donation of three Caesar self-propelled guns to Ukraine.
This was reported by RTBF.
It is noted that the cost of this purchase is 12 million euros.
Caesar is a truck equipped with a 155 mm cannon. It is capable of firing six rounds per minute at a distance of up to 40 km.

Since February 2022, France has delivered 30 of these vehicles to Ukraine.
- In January 2024, the Artillery Coalition for Ukraine was proclaimed in Paris. It will be led by France and the United States, and “the goal is to unite the efforts of the participating countries to help Ukraine have, in the short and long term, artillery forces adapted to the needs of a counteroffensive and its army of the future.”
- Before that, French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu announced that France would manufacture 78 Caesar howitzers for Ukraine. Paris will also increase monthly deliveries of artillery ammunition from two to three thousand, and will also supply aerial bombs.
