Toyota has unveiled a pickup truck based on the Land Cruiser Prado and a surfer 4Runner in the style of the 80s . Unfortunately, these models are not serial, but rather show cars, prepared for the SEMA-2024 exhibition, which opens in Las Vegas at the beginning of leaf fall.
RBC-Ukraine reports about this from Toyota's Youtube posts.
It is clear that the modernization of the Land Cruiser, removing the ROX Concept prefix from the name, is a pickup based on the Land Cruiser with no custom parts. The other, the 4Runner TRD Surf Concept, is a two-door beach car inspired by the Hilux Surf of the 1980s.
Calty Design Research was responsible for the design of the Land Cruiser ROX. The tuners removed the rear pillars and doors, replacing them with a soft, soft top, installed frameless doors and widened the arches to accommodate large wheels with all-wheel tires. In addition, the car received a new steel bumper and a new spare tire. Approximately 50 hundred parts of the original zashlyakhovik were replaced with zagalo.
The Toyota 4Runner TRD Surf is a project of the Motorsports Garage studio. He saved the frame, as well as the fit with the Land Cruiser ROX, by using some of the struts and hard parts. Instead of the new installation, there are rails on which you can attach surfboards. Both new products will premiere on November 5 in Las Vegas.
