Members of the UN Security Council saw evidence of how Russia forges documents on abducted Ukrainian children in order to destroy their identity, Ukrinform reports.
The relevant documents were demonstrated at a meeting of the Security Council by Advisor to the Head of the Presidential Office, Operations Director of Bring Kids Back UA Daria Zarovna.
Zarovna showed the birth certificate of Margarita Prokopenko. The girl was 10 months old when she was forcibly deported from the Kherson orphanage, then illegally adopted, her name changed and her place of birth falsified. Margarita was taken away by the wife of Russian politician Sergei Mironov, Inna Varlamova.
“Look at these two documents. Here is the real birth certificate of Margarita Prokopenko, a Ukrainian child born in Ukraine. And here is what Russia did to her – they renamed her Marina Mironova, falsely noting that she was born in Russia. This is the Russian version of humanitarian law,” Zarovna said.
In her Telegram channel, the adviser to the head of the OPU added that according to the latest report by the Yale University Humanitarian Research Lab, 314 Ukrainian children were forcibly adopted by Russian families. pits from occupied Donetsk and Lugansk.
