Senior soldier Dmitry Maslovsky of the 71st separate ranger brigade of the Airborne assault troops was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine. This is a soldier who died in hand-to-hand combat with the occupier in the Donetsk region.
The video of his fight was published by the Russians themselves. President Volodymyr Zelensky said that he had handed over Order of the Hero's mother.
“Millions of Ukrainians saw Dmitry's last battle, the battle in Donetsk region. Exemplary bravery of our guy. Ukraine will always remember this bravery. I handed over the “Gold Star” of the Hero of Ukraine to the mother of our soldier,” he said.
The president also awarded orders to the soldiers who managed to capture the first soldiers from the DPRK in the Kursk region.
“Today, we are also awarding orders to our soldiers who managed to capture the first soldiers from North Korea in the Kursk direction. The Order of the 3rd degree – Bohdan Khmelnytsky and “For Courage” – were received by paratroopers of the 95th separate airborne assault brigade and soldiers of the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine – the Separate Special Operations Center “West” named after Prince Izyaslav Mstislavich,” Zelensky added.
