Church holiday: the day of memory of the Reverend Xenia of Rome
In the Orthodox calendar, January 24 is dedicated to Saint Xenia of Rome, who dedicated her life to serving God. She renounced wealth, distributed her property to the needy, and took monastic tonsure. Her life became an example of humility, love for one's neighbor, and devotion to Christian ideals.

• You cannot sit down at the table after sunset.
• It is forbidden to sew, knit, and cut nails for the elderly.
