“Diya” will launch new services for veterans and families of fallen defenders

New services will soon appear on the “Diya” portal that will simplify obtaining important statuses for war veterans and families of fallen defenders, IZ reports with reference to the Ministry of Veterans. This was made possible thanks to the cooperation of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Digital Transformation. Beta testing of functions that will allow citizens to submit applications online and significantly reduce the time for processing documents has now begun.

Among the innovations is the opportunity through “Diya” to obtain the status of a person with a disability as a result of the war or a family member of a fallen (deceased) defender of Ukraine. These services are aimed at reducing bureaucratic obstacles and ensuring convenient access to social support for those who need it.

As noted by the Minister of Veterans Affairs Natalia Kalmykova, the implementation of these services will not only simplify the process for veterans and their families, but also create an effective mechanism for processing applications by authorized persons. From now on, local units on veteran policy will be able to use a special electronic office to work with documents, which will significantly speed up their consideration.

Let us recall that earlier we wrote about how war veterans can receive 1,500 hryvnias for rehabilitation
