The draw for the playoffs will take place on January 31.
The main stage matches of the 2024/25 Europa League season will be held from September 25, 2024 to January 30, 2025.
This is the debut draw of the second most prestigious European Cup in a new format: 36 clubs play in a single league, where they must play against eight different opponents (four matches at home and four away). All tournament participants received 2 opponents from 4 different baskets.
The eight best teams in the main stage of the Europa League will reach the 1/8 finals. The clubs that take 9th to 24th place in the overall standings will play paired play-off matches for a place in the 1/8 finals. The tournament will then be held according to the usual knockout system.
Following the seventh round, only Lazio guaranteed participation in the 1/8 finals of the Europa League. The matches of the final eighth round will take place on January 30.

The draw for the Europa League playoffs will be held on January 31 in Nyon. The first legs of this stage will be played on 13 February, with the return legs on 20 February.
