The draw for the playoffs will take place on January 31.
The main stage matches of the Champions League 2024/25 season will be held from September 17, 2024 to January 29, 2025.
This is the first draw of the most prestigious European tournament in a new format: 36 clubs play in a single league, where they must play against eight different opponents (four matches at home and four away).
At the end of the league stage, the eight teams with the most points will advance to the 1/8 finals. The clubs that will take the overall standingsplaces from 9th to 24th will play paired play-off matches for a place in the 1/8 finals. The tournament will then be held according to the usual knockout system.
Based on the results of the seventh round, only Liverpool and Barcelona have guaranteed participation in the 1/8 finals of the Champions League. The matches of the final eighth round will be held on January 29.

The draw for the Champions League playoffs will take place on January 31 in Nyon. The first legs of this stage will be played on 11/12 February, with the return legs on 18/19 February.
