Ukraine, within the framework of the Ukraine Facility program, withdrew the next tranche of assistance. The amount of support is 3.5 billion euros (3.79 billion dollars).
RBC-Ukraine reports this via a message sent to the Telegram channel of the head of the Ukrainian government, Denis Shmigal.
According to Shmigal, these funds will help Ukraine maintain macroeconomic stability.
“The European Commission signified our country’s commitment to the advancement of reforms on the way to full membership in the EU. And external financial assistance within the Ukraine Facility mechanism has already reached 19.6 billion euros,” he added.
Help for Ukraine in the hour of war
Ukraine Facility is a financial instrument of the European Union, aimed at supporting Ukraine in the minds of the war and post-war renewal. The program transfers a total of 50 billion euros for the period 2024–2027, which will be directed towards macro-financial assistance, reconstruction, reform and modernization of the country. The money is received as grants and loans, and control over their proceeds is carried out through a special mechanism for reporting and assessing the progress of reforms.
Varto guessed that yesterday, March 31, Ukraine also took a tranche of support from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the amount of 400 million dollars.
