Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro signed a decree on the supreme economic state of the country.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine via Bloomberg.

On the air of the sovereign television station, Maduro stated that the document would be voted in the country by the supreme economic state for 60 days. This is necessary in order to support the country's industrial sectors in the minds of the global “economic war”.

According to the president, the decree allows him to make all necessary steps to ensure economic growth, for example:

  • behind-the-scenes contraction and stagnation of taxes;
  • allowed the withdrawal from the treasury and other funding sources not transferred to the river budget;
  • combating the deterioration of tax payments, promoting import substitution mechanisms, and stimulating investment.

Maduro added that it is important to avoid new investments. In his words, anyone who wants to invest in Venezuela has a special concern.

Now Bloomberg writes that the presidential decree will require the approval of the National Assembly and the Constitutional Chamber to the Supreme Court.

It seems that just a few months ago, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro proposed reforming the constitution of the country. Having said that we are trying to change territorial divisions and diversify the economy.
