Proven ways to clean a pan without damaging the enamel
Even experienced housewives sometimes make annoying mistakes: forgotten milk, too strong a heat or an unexpected call can result in burnt food. But instead of ruining your enamel and nerves, it's better to use simple but effective remedies that have long proven their effectiveness.
1. Table salt
Pour 2 cups of hot water into a saucepan, add 50 grams of common salt and bring to a boil. After 40 minutes of boiling, leave the liquid to cool, then wipe with a soft sponge. No rubbing – the carbon deposits will come off on their own.
2. Vinegar
Pour white vinegar over the burnt bottom and leave for a few hours. After that, all that remains is to easily wash off the remaining dirt with a sponge and detergent.
3. Activated carbon
Crush a few tablets into a powder, sprinkle them on the affected area, add some cold water, and after half an hour, simply wash the pan as usual.
4. Fruit
If you don't have any chemicals at hand, apples, onions, or pears will help. Chop them, cover with water, and simmer over low heat for an hour. The acids released will gently dissolve the carbon deposits.
5. Coca-Cola
Pour a cup of cola into the bottom of the pot, leave for 30 minutes, or boil for best results. Then simply wash away the residue with your regular detergent.
