Law enforcement officers brought to court a case against deputies of the Kyiv City Council who evaded military service

This was reported by the press service of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Central region.

“The investigation established that four servicemen of one of the military units of the TRO, three of whom are metropolitan deputies, and another one is an assistant to a deputy of the Kiev City Council, evaded military service for almost a year,” the report says.

It is clarified that the suspects, contrary to the established procedure, obtained a business trip to the Kyiv MBA. This happened with the assistance of the head of one of the structural units of the Kiev MVA and the commander of one of the military units of the TRO.

At the same time, the suspects received monetary allowances from the unit where they were considered to have served.

  • One of those who received suspicion was Igor Khatsevich (Eurosolidarity). Also suspected were Mikhail Terentyev (UDAR), Oleg Levchenko (Eurosolidarity) and Khatsevich’s assistant Alexey Shpak.
  • The ex-commander of the military unit was notified of suspicion of a military official exceeding his official powers (Part 5 of Article 426-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). We are talking about the case of deputies of the Kyiv City Council, who were accused of evading military service.
